7 Leadership Lessons from 2024 to Transform in 2025.

2024 was a year of challenges, growth, and lessons. Some of us experienced personal losses; others faced professional obstacles. We’ve overcome some challenges this past year, maybe some of you experienced personal losses. But as we wrap up 2024, let’s always remember to be thankful and grateful.

REAL Talk:

I’m thankful to have gone through it all. The highs and lows, obstacles, challenges we had to overcome. Because at the end of the day, it has only made me stronger. How far you go is truly up to you because it’s your growth that determines your success.

Lead with Purpose:

Here are some of the lessons I’ve learned in 2024 that you can use to lead with purpose, be more intentional, in order to create meaningful impact in 2025!

1. Make yourself known!

When you’re new to the area/company, it’s important to establish who you are and what you stand for. Let them know.

2. Be vulnerable, learn to open up.

I’ve opened up more this year than I have in the past on my challenges, problems. In return, I’ve gotten great feedback on my next steps.

3. Compliment, console, congratulate.

Three things to do every day to connect with someone. I’ve been more consistent this year implementing the 3Cs and thankful to get to know more about those in my network.

4. Forgive and move forward.

Personally, I continue to be a work in progress here. Just have to remember that the time and energy you are wasting, worrying about what happened, can be better used by moving forward and letting go.

5. Invest in yourself!

The past couple years I’ve been investing more on myself. It’s the most important thing you can do. Your family and friends deserve a better version of you.

6. Consistency is the key.

I don’t care what goal you want to achieve. If you don’t take daily consistent action, you will never achieve it. It’s always difficult starting out.

7. Delegate so you can focus on the big picture.

Get busy doing the important tasks that will move the needle forward and delegate the rests. Find your Who, not the How. Learn to delegate so you can further elevate yourself.

Real Dads Invest:

One way you can invest in yourself… Find your tribe!

Being part of a community of other growth minded leaders, coaches, entrepreneurs has been game changing for me both personally and professionally.

Your destiny is shaped by those around you.

Especially if you are around those who are where you want to be. When you find your tribe, consistently show up, be vulnerable, learn to move forward, make yourself know, and invest in yourself!

In doing this, I’ve been more clear on my goals, my mission to serve, and better prepared in my business ventures.
